How the calculator works
Today's consumption is the number of luminaires times power times operating hours. The calculator deducts the assumed saving and values the difference using your electricity price and the emission factor of the German electricity mix.

Frequently asked questions
Which saving should I assume?
That depends on what changes. Replacing old luminaires with controlled LED technology usually saves considerably more than adding controls to existing LED luminaires. The slider goes up to 80%, the maximum value from our product information. We determine a reliable value using your installation data.
Are investment, installation or funding taken into account?
No. The calculator only shows the electricity costs you save. We work through investment, funding options and payback with you during the project. For an overview of funding programmes, see our article on funding.
Where do I get the values for my installation?
The number and power of luminaires are usually listed in the light point list or luminaire register; you will find the electricity price in your electricity contract. The default of 4,000 operating hours roughly corresponds to operating all night.
