Solutions for smart street lighting
Municipal lighting projects rarely start with a product. They start with a question: what can sensibly be done with the estate that already exists? These pages set out the five tasks that come up most often in practice, with decision criteria, the process involved and what ENVIOTECH contributes.
We work with municipalities, utilities, depots and lighting consultancies. The starting point is almost always mixed: part of the estate has been converted to LED, part has not, and in both parts controllability is usually missing.
So we treat modernisation and control not as two projects but as one decision per light point. Suitable LED luminaires are retrofitted with a node; unsuitable or ageing luminaires are replaced with the EnvioLux system luminaire. Both routes end in the same operating model with EnvioTerminal.
Two equally valid routes to modernisation
Retrofit
Existing, technically suitable LED luminaires receive an EnvioLux node and become controllable, dimmable and measurable. The luminaire stays in place.
Replace
Ageing or non-retrofittable luminaires are replaced with the EnvioLux system luminaire, in our system offer always with node and a connection to lighting management.
