EnvioLux™ Core Kit
The plug on retrofit kit: EVL-Core nodes make any luminaire remote controllable and dimmable on demand, while EVL-Connect gateways build the wireless mesh to the EnvioTerminal.

One kit, two node types.
An EnvioLux Core Kit is not a single module, it is a system. The EVL-Core sits on nearly every luminaire, complemented by EVL-Connect gateways that build the network.

EVL-Core Node
Control and monitoring node. Plugs into the upper or lower Zhaga socket, controls dimming and light color and reads more than 60 driver operating values via D4i.

EVL-Connect Node
The router of the streetlight network. Replaces a Core on its mast, builds the mesh network and sends the bundled data from all surrounding luminaires to the cloud.
Both node types are included in the kit. You do not plan module by module, but by street: we help determine the right number of EVL-Connect gateways for your network.
How the network between luminaires is built.
All nodes communicate over a 2.4 GHz mesh with AES-128 encryption. Each node passes messages on to its neighbors, and about every 50 to 100 devices an EVL-Connect gateway uploads the bundled data to the EnvioTerminal.

Self healing mesh
If a luminaire fails, the signal automatically finds a new path. No single point of failure.
One gateway per 50 to 100 luminaires
EVL-Connect replaces a Core on its mast and additionally handles the connection to the cloud in Germany.
Stable even during power outages
An integrated, non flammable battery keeps the processor and radio active so the network never loses its state.
Everything a modern retrofit node needs.
Compatible with Zhaga Book 18 and DALI D4i
Plugs into the upper or lower Zhaga socket, across vendors on nearly any modern luminaire.
Remote control and dimming
Sets every luminaire remotely to any brightness level. Average operation cuts energy use by around 80 %.
Light color and insect protection
Switches to warm light on a schedule, protecting nocturnal insects and reducing light pollution.
D4i data readout
Reads out more than 60 driver operating values: energy, operating hours, temperature and fault status.
Secure 2.4 GHz mesh
All nodes communicate AES-128 encrypted and pass data neighbor to neighbor up to the gateway.
EnvioTerminal connectivity
Every node automatically appears in the central live twin of your lighting.
Use cases
- 1Demand based dimming according to schedules and ambient brightness.
- 2Reducing energy consumption without limiting lighting quality.
- 3Remote monitoring and diagnostics instead of manual fault patrols.
- 4Retrofitting without replacing the existing luminaire.
